When living on a lake there’s rarely a shortage of activities, however, sometimes it’s nice to switch things up and do new things. So, what is there to do near the Rosewater community that’s not on our own lakes? Allow us to tell you!

The most prominently known attraction near the Flathead Valley (where Rosewater resides) is Glacier National Park. In Glacier Park you have endless entertainment; hiking, biking, rafting, climbing, horseback riding, nature-watching, photography and much more! Glacier Park is where all of your out-of-state visitors are going to want to go…it’s inevitable. Also, if at some point part of your group happens to want to experience the grandeur from the coziness of the car, they can still drink in all that the park has to offer simply by cruising around in a vehicle on  the Going-to-the-Sun Road, which bisects the park and offers incredible views.

Next, if you simply cannot get enough of the lake-life but would like a change in scenery, head 20 miles down the road to Flathead Lake. The largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi. There you can watch, or maybe even participate in, weekly sailboat races. If you would rather live life a little more on the wild-side get out and grab some jet skis, a surfboat (and board), or even a fishing boat for deeper endeavors.

Last, but certainly not least, is Whitefish Mountain Resort. In the winter Whitefish Mountain is the place to find premier powder, whether you enjoy carving down on a pair of skis or shredding on a board, it’s the best place to spend the chilly months. Even in the summer, Whitefish Mountain Resort has plenty of activities to keep you busy. They’ve got it all. Zip line tours, alpine slide, mountain biking, walk in the treetops, scenic lift rides and more!

So, if you think that living in a waterski community seems limited on activities…think again! The Flathead Valley has got you covered! Not only will you be impressed by our neck-of-the-woods, but your future guests will too.
